Description
Ah, it's been awhile since the last post. Finally I got something new to show. The concept for this painting has been in my archive for nearly 4 years. The original title was Peapod but as I worked more and more on it, it changed the a bit around and become a Pea Soup (favorite childhood meal, huh!)I've used lot of references. For one I modeled the girl and used several pictures of children to help me out with fauns. It took about 4 weeks but because I am very busy and I am in the process of learning to work on Mac at the same time. So I can't tell you exactly how many hours this took.Ok, that's all I got for now. Stay well everybody!

Though I would have some critiques. The peas in her basket look slightly weird/unfinished/unrealistic. The inside of the pot could be a bit more darker, eventhough there is steam going out of it, that would make the foun in it look more natural, cause now it looks a little like its been just past there and he is not actually in the pot. And the right arm of the foun pulling the blue string looks a little dislocated. But this are just minor mistakes, that don't really stand out. Overall this is a spectacular picture.

Nera, your constructive comment is much appreciated and will be taken into consideration, if and when I get back to fix bits and pieces in the painting.

That faun on the table is really cute, he looks like a real guy up there. The expression on her face is wonderful. This is a really great image. I can look at it for a long time and not get tired.
