Description

Ah, it's been awhile since the last post. Finally I got something new to show. The concept for this painting has been in my archive for nearly 4 years. The original title was Peapod but as I worked more and more on it, it changed the a bit around and become a Pea Soup (favorite childhood meal, huh!)
I've used lot of references. For one I modeled the girl and used several pictures of children to help me out with fauns. It took about 4 weeks but because I am very busy and I am in the process of learning to work on Mac at the same time. So I can't tell you exactly how many hours this took.Ok, that's all I got for now. Stay well everybody!

Wow... excelent. It trully is breath taking.
Though I would have some critiques. The peas in her basket look slightly weird/unfinished/unrealistic. The inside of the pot could be a bit more darker, eventhough there is steam going out of it, that would make the foun in it look more natural, cause now it looks a little like its been just past there and he is not actually in the pot. And the right arm of the foun pulling the blue string looks a little dislocated. But this are just minor mistakes, that don't really stand out. Overall this is a spectacular picture.

Thank you so much for your feedback guys. Glad you like it since it was a little nightmare working on it for me. Nice to know it's appreciated in other peoples eyes.
Nera, your constructive comment is much appreciated and will be taken into consideration, if and when I get back to fix bits and pieces in the painting.

Some parts are so sharp and some blurry, like a real photo. I like her hands and arms. Great job!

Finally! for once the bane of all foreign students in England has been captured in paint and glorified in art! I'll be voting in not so much for the details - gfxartist has many talented and gifted people - as I am for the subject matter. Which is really very unorthodox, and probably shows how creative and imaginative you are.

Well I really like this. The girl is top notch. The background is good too but a bit too blurred in my eyes ( which are often wrong ) Her ruddy cheeks are ace.

Really really GREAT! I hate to say that the pot in the back doesn't look as finished as all the rest of the details in the pic, almost like I snuck in there and did that part :)
That faun on the table is really cute, he looks like a real guy up there. The expression on her face is wonderful. This is a really great image. I can look at it for a long time and not get tired.
